THE STORY BEGINS…
MARCH, 1850
In 1850, a young Thomas Waldron (pictured top middle) established his new home on Crown Reserve land in the old Malden Township. After seven generations of lineage, this land still stays strong within the Waldron family. It is now the home of the GL Heritage Brewing Company. The farm is where we live and raise our families, and it continues to inspire us to support our local community.
INSPIRATION CONTINUES…
AUGUST 13th, 1977
The hunger of entrepreneurship runs deep within our family roots. In 1977, the patriarch of the current generation decided to leave his comfortable automotive job to found Amherstburg’s GL Heritage Motors garage in the centre of town, with a close friend and partner. The two men pursued their business passion with dedication, focus and hard work. As a tribute, we named this brewery after that first-hand example of determination and ingenuity.
