How about that heat?
Sorry, I didn’t mean to begin the same way 15 other conversations of yours started today, but it’s hot and the plants are loving it. We are picking corn, zucchini, eggplant and onions at rates we haven’t seen in years.
The size on them is massive compared to past years
We’ve also started picking field tomatoes, which look and taste fantastic. The size on them is massive compared to past years and they are so abundant. The toughest part now if braving the heat to get everything picked. The way we do it is by heading out bright and early, then take the afternoon off, and head back out around dinner time. It makes for the odd late night, but at least we don’t suffer in the fields.
