As summer begins the transition into fall, it means clean up time around the farm. We’ve already started working in the fields to get them ready for next year. Mowing down the old plants and discing them into the earth so they decompose and fertilize next year’s crops. That said, we have a few goodies left in the field. We still have two patches of corn to pick, along with another crop of broccoli, some beans, and kale will produce until December.
We spoke about the apple crop last week, and we have good news for the upcoming weeks. Honey Crisp apples are ready. Many consider them the best apple around, strong crunch but super sweet. We hope to have them in the bins soon.
