Year 14 of Lee and Maria’s Subscription Boxes Starts Now

We missed you! We’re so glad to be back and entering into our 14th year of our subscription boxes together.

There’s something about the start of a new season that never gets old. That first week back, the first boxes going out, the fields coming to life again…It’s the best feeling. What started as an idea around our dinner table all those years ago has grown into something we now get to share with you week after week, and we don’t take that for granted.

If you’re new here, welcome! We’re really glad you found us. We like to keep things simple and real, so each week we’ll send along an update from the farm with what’s growing, what’s coming up, where your produce is from, and a few behind-the-scenes moments. And if you’re a returning customer, welcome back. Your support means everything to our family, and we’re grateful to be part of your weekly routine again.

Though our processes have changed over the years, our goal never has. We still want this to be a simple, affordable way for busy families to eat well and get good local food on the table. With food prices, gas, and everything else continuing to climb, we know affordability matters. That’s why our box prices and produce volumes are staying the same as last year, while we continue working behind the scenes to hold value for you.

This has always been about more than just fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s about connection to your food, to the farmers growing it, and to a community that believes in supporting local. Every time you choose a box, you’re helping keep local farms going, supporting small businesses, and bringing fresh, seasonal food into your home.

Each week, you’ll receive your personalized menu based on what’s fresh and in season—so things will always feel a little different and, of course, delicious. And don’t forget, your box is fully customizable. Swap items, add extras like eggs, milk, or fresh locally baked bread to make it work for your home. As the season gets underway, we also wanted to share one small update. Menus will now be released each Monday by 6 p.m., and substitutions will close each Wednesday at 4 p.m. We hope this gives everyone a clear and consistent window each week to check the menu and make any changes.

Behind the scenes, things are already in full swing. The greenhouse is full with hundreds of flower and herb pots growing strong, and we’ve started seeding our pepper crop. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be adding our kale, lettuce, and hopefully tomatoes soon if the timing cooperates.

We’ll also be back at the market starting April 9th, with shelves stocked with your favourites—fresh breads, baked goods, wine, beer, pantry staples—and a few new local finds. So go ahead, dig into your first box of the season and enjoy it. Here’s to a fresh start, a new season, and so much good food ahead.
